May 2024 Newsletter

May 14, 2024

Hello Landowners,

We had a great annual meeting! Everyone enjoyed the festivities and fellowship! Our new board members are as follows: Robin Blackmon, Teresa Nihart, Sandy Dunlap, Jay Cochran, and Marlin Rittenberry. The President, Vice President, and Secretary remain the same.

Safety

Summer is here! Please be safe when using the boat ramp and pier. Cedar Point is not responsible for injuries while using it. Also look out for snakes.

Appearance

At this year’s annual meeting we voted to do away with the 10-day notice on grass cutting. Even though most people are keeping their yards neat and clean, we do have a few that are not keeping their yards in compliance. To help us with this process we asked that everyone continue to keep their yards neat, clean, and cut. The minimum fine is now not less than $250.00 but not limited to.

Speeding

We are still having a problem with speeders throughout Cedar Point. Reminder the speed limit is 10mph. There are no warnings given for speeding. There are several security cameras throughout Cedar Point. You are responsible for your guests, please let them know the speed limit, or you will receive a fine on their behalf.

Upcoming Festivities

We will be having a crawfish boil on June 8th at 2pm down at the office. Plates will be $10 per plate. Tickets will be sold. We will have cornhole and horseshoes.

Pet Registry

The landowners also voted on not having any farm animals. As well as no dogs over 30lbs. We are not telling anyone to get rid of their pets but when your pet passes away, if you are wanting to get another pet the rules state the pet must be under 30lbs. We are also starting a pet registry, you have until June 15th to provide a picture of your pets as well as their shot records to the office.

Website

Cedar Point now has a website for landowners to keep up with current news, report maintenance issues, and contact the Cedar Point office. The website is as follows: https://cedarpointla.com/. If you would like to receive future paper copies of the newsletter, you will have to send a letter stating so to the office.
